A week ago, on January 21 we had a New Moon at 1o Aquarius 33’. In 2020, at the onset of the Covid scenario, Saturn the ruler of Aquarius passed through this degree several times (forward, in retrograde motion, and angina forward). This year, on March 23, Pluto will enter Aquarius and initiate its own dance (over the next 2 years) over this degree range. While the road ahead is not clear, the New Moon ushered in whispers of a new path. It is as if we are in the final preparation phase for the process of full transformation and transmutation. Some changes might be huge, some subtle, it depends on each one’s journey.
Mars and Mercury have just recently finished their retrograde periods and are now slowly picking up speed, Uranus also just began its direct motion this week. On January 22, one day after the new Moon, the Chinese New Year of the Water Rabbit arrived; the rabbit is ruled by the Moon. Usually, 2 signs are enough to confirm an indication, but in this case, the underlying significance of this moment is quite obviously represented.
Right after the New Moon, the Moon immediately sextiled Jupiter in Aries at 4o. Its next encounter was a few hours later in a trine with Mars in Gemini at 8o. Both of these meetings tell us of the active participation of Mars & Mercury in the seeding of this New Moon - with Jupiter as the ruler of Mars, and Mars in Gemini ruled by Mercury. We are dealing with possible scenarios of endings as well as realizations and inspirations which are a necessary part of the weaving of the greater plan seeded at this new Moon in Aquarius.
At the moment of the New Moon, Venus and Saturn were together at 23o & 24o of Aquarius. Our commitment to our values and that which brings harmony, joy, and well-being to our lives, will be more non-negotiable than ever. What we deem as this “will not matter in the end” will literally be removed from matter/our lives… A final process of sifting through what occupies/surrounds us to remain with what we truly value and intend to commit is highlighted. Then on January 26 Venus entered Pisces, Pisces is her exaltation and the home of Jupiter. This is a very auspicious placement for Venus. The period of Venus in Pisces, we are free to experience all the grand displays of beauty and joy coming to our lives. These may be through romance, art, music, partnerships, and other Venusian delights… Venus in Pisces is a time when we will most likely benefit in some way from her gifts. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, which is now in Aries, on a personal level one needs to know which houses Pisces and Aries occupy in the Natal chart to find out the areas of life affected/blessed.
Today we have the quarter-crescent waxing Moon in Taurus. The Moon in Taurus is in her exaltation, and she will pass over Uranus before he receives a trine aspect from Mercury in Capricorn. A promising weekend of surprises in our daily lives… can come as messages, encounters, insights, and unexpected events. Saturn is still holding the reins of this process (as ruler of Capricorn where Mercury is) of creating the appropriate structures and elimination. We may enjoy and receive the blessings coming while getting ready for the final green light to move ahead in March… It is all part of a grander plan and although it feels like the year will only start further ahead, in March, we will be ready and prepared to charge ahead with full conviction and sharp focus when the time comes.
“May we meet the days with intended presence and focus, remembering all that has been and has paved the path to this moment. The future is bright, but as our choices create the structures of our new lives, may these choices sprout inspired by moments of smiles and joy, right here, right now, so that what is to come may be as sweet as new buds in spring.”
